Herbal Shenanigans - Without Herbal Boxes.
Herbal Shenanigans is a year-long seasonal herbalism training designed to help horse and dog owners confidently use herbs with their animals.
Through four seasonal modules, you'll discover how herbs and animals change throughout the year, how those changes influence your animal's health, and how herbs can be used to provide support, enrichment, nourishment and variety.
You'll learn why animals select certain plants, how to safely offer herbs, and how to recognise what your horse or dog may need during different seasons of the year. As your confidence grows, you'll be able to make more informed choices, support your animal's wellbeing naturally, provide greater variety and enrichment, and develop a deeper understanding of what your horse or dog may be trying to communicate through their behaviour and preferences.
This training is designed to help you:
• Feel confident offering herbs safely to your animals
• Understand what different herbs do and when they may be useful
• Support common seasonal challenges naturally
• Learn how animal physiology changes throughout the year
• Explore innate selection and why animals choose particular plants
• Create herbal preparations, enrichment activities and seasonal projects
• Build a deeper connection with your horse or dog through observation and understanding
• Develop a practical, science-informed approach to herbal medicine without needing a professional qualification
Throughout the programme you'll also take part in guided herbal tastings, helping you observe first-hand how animals interact with different plants and develop confidence in recognising preferences, selections and behavioural responses.
Seasonal case studies bring the learning to life, allowing you to see how herbs are used in real-world situations and helping you build practical understanding that can be applied with your own animals.
You'll also learn from a variety of guest speakers who bring additional perspectives from fields including behaviour, enrichment, homeopathy, flower essences, iridology, first aid, wildflower meadows, bioresonance and holistic animal care, helping you develop a broader understanding of animal wellbeing.
Combining modern herbal knowledge, seasonal wisdom, zoopharmacognosy and practical application, Herbal Shenanigans provides a fun, engaging and empowering way to bring herbs into everyday life with your animals.
A supportive community is included, allowing you to share observations, ask questions and connect with like-minded animal owners throughout the seasons.

WOW what an amazing herb which in a previous life I discarded as an insignificant weed that grew on the dried out mud patch of the gateway - invisible indeed as ignorance caused me to think of it as totally insignificant. Excellent presentation once again.

Callie selects Yarrow quite frequently, so this guide has been so interesting to maybe understand why. So fascinating. My memory isn't the best, so to be able to download the guide and constantly read it and refer back to it, is absolutely brilliant. X. Wow! There is so much valuable information here...I am so excited to learn and build my herbal language vocabulary. I am truly in love with herbs (Ha,Ha)...Thank you x
